Transport with an automobile
X Always remove the battery and on-board computer
and stow them safely inside the car
X Protect electrical contacts of eBike components
from rain and dirt
X Use an eBike boot rack (for higher load capacity and
special dimensioning). Car-top bike racks should not
be used.
Private individuals may transport eBike batteries
on the road without any further requirements.
Commercial dealers are to observe p. 144
Storage
X Observe the operating and storage temperatures of
all eBike components.
– Protect against exposure to direct sunshine. Com-
ponents (especially the battery) can be damaged
by extreme temperatures.
– Using below the operating temperatures can
results in restrictions of individual functions (e. g.
the contrast of the display).
X Store components and/or eBike in a dry place with
the best possible ventilation, protected from humid-
ity and water. For information about storing the
battery, please see p. 148
X If the on-board computer has not been used for an
extended period, it should be fully charged at room
temperature
Protective covers for the drive unit, battery
and on-board computer
X Intended to protect from
– mechanical damage (scratches, impact and falling
rocks)
– environmental conditions (water spray, dust, dirt
and road salt)
– cold (protective thermal cover for the battery)
X Use for the trip (battery) or for storage and trans-
port (drive unit, on-board computer)
X Purchase e.g over Magura Webshop
Protect Purion and the control unit during trans-
port with the auto, if required, use protective
