6.13.4 Connecting the temperature sensor electri-
cally
1. Push the connection cable into the electrical cabinet
through the cable gland (see Fig. 15, item 5).
i For an overview of the electrical cabinet compo-
nents, see section 4.8.
2. Attach the wires of the connection cable to terminal
COM and terminal B2 on terminal block X1
(see Fig. 18, item 6).
3. Place the connection cable in the cable duct.
4. Attach the covers to the cable ducts.
5. Tighten the cable gland (see Fig. 15, item 5).
6. Place the cover on the electrical cabinet and secure
with 4 fastening screws.
7. Secure the connection cable with cable ties.
6.13.5 Concluding operations
1. Check the protective conductor in accordance with
DGUV A3.
2. Switch on EPS 708.
3. Run the functional test (see section 6.7.6).
4. After a successful function test, reattach all covers.
5. Attach the side cover of the test oil area.
6. Attach the front cover of the test oil area.
6.14 Changing the calibrating oil
! Note the disposal instructions in section 2.3.2.
6.14.1 Draining the calibrating oil tank
The calibrating oil tank can be drained via the drain
cock in the tank using an external pump. Before filling
with new calibrating oil, clean and rinse the calibrating
oil tank. The empty calibrating oil tank has a capacity of
approx. 50 liters.

1. Remove the front cover of the calibrating oil
chamber.
2. Remove the lid of the calibrating oil tank.
3. Fit the drain hose to the drain cock (item 1) of the
calibrating oil tank.
4. Open the drain cock and drain the calibrating oil
into a container.
5. Rinse the empty tank with calibrating oil to remove
dirt from the floor of the tank.
6. Close the drain cock and remove the drain hose.
6.14.2 Filling the calibrating oil tank
1. Fill the tank with new calibrating oil up to the upper
notch on the dipstick (approx. 50 l).
The calibrating oil is now changed.
2. Fit and secure the lid of the calibrating oil tank.
3. Insert the cover and secure.
" The EPS 708 is ready for operation.
