6.10 Replacing the controller (A1) of the
water chiller
6.10.1 Disconnecting the controller
1. Switch off the EPS 708 at the main switch.
2. Secure the main switch so that it cannot be swit-
ched back on.
3. Unplug the mains plug or disconnect from mains
electricity.
4. Check that there is no power.
5. Remove the front cover of the test oil area.
6. Remove the side cover of the test oil area.

7. Remove the 4 fastening screws of the cover
(see Fig. 55, item 1).
8. Remove cover and place it to the side.

9. Remove the connection cable at the back of control-
ler A1 (Fig. 56, item 1).
10. Remove connection cable (Fig. 56, item 2).
6.10.2 Removing the controller

¶ Press the two arms of the plastic clamp
(Fig. 57, item 1) on the controller together and then
pull the plastic clamp up. At the same time, press
the controller downwards out of the clamp and out
of the cover.
6.10.3 Installing the controller
1. Slide the new controller into the recess in the cover.
Ensure that the controller is oriented correctly.
2. Slide the plastic clamp over the controller until it
engages and the controller is held securely.
6.10.4 Connecting the controller electrically
1. Attach both connection cables
(see Fig. 56, item 1 und item 2) to the controller.
2. Place the cover on the electrical cabinet and secure
with 4 fastening screws.
