6.17 Replacing the tank heater
6.17.1 Removing the tank heater

i Get ready a cloth for catching and mopping up
calibrating oil and a suitable, leakproof surface for
depositing components.
1. Remove the front cover of the calibrating oil
chamber.
2. Remove the rear cover of the calibrating oil chamber.
3. Undo and disconnect all hoses and connecting
cables from the center segment of the tank lid
(see Fig. 68).
4. Slacken the screws in the front segment of the
calibrating oil tank lid and remove the segment.
5. Slacken the screws on the center segment of the
calibrating oil tank lid, remove the segment with
the electric fuel pump bracket and set down on the
surface.
6. Undo the hose on the rear segment of the
calibrating oil tank lid.
7. Slacken the screws on the terminal cover (item 1)
and remove the terminal cover.
8. Take the fuses out of the heater.

9. Slacken the screw on the rear segment of the
calibrating oil tank.
10. Slacken the screws on the heater attachment
(see Fig. 74, item 2).
11. Remove the rear segment of the calibrating oil tank lid.
12. Take the heater out of the calibrating oil tank and
set down on a leakproof surface.
6.17.2 Installing the tank heater
¶ Install the tank heater in the reverse order.
