6.15.2 Installing the electric fuel pump
1. Slide the O-rings and seal onto the new electric fuel
pump.
! The electric fuel pump must not be in direct contact
with the bracket, as this would result in a short
circuit.
2. Place the electric fuel pump in the bracket. Position
the O-rings at a distance of approx. 6 mm from the
upper and lower edges of the bracket.
3. Check the distance of the electric fuel pump from
the bracket.
4. Fit the hose to the fitting of the electric fuel pump.
5. Tighten the screw (see Fig. 70, item 2).
6. Fit the connecting cable 1684 463 765 to the
positive pole (see circuit diagram 1 689 911 487 on
page 7).
7. Fit the connecting cable 1684463766 to the
negative pole (see circuit diagram 1 689 911 487 on
page 7).
8. Fit the electric fuel pumps to the segment of the
calibrating oil tank lid (see Fig. 69, item 2).
9. Insert the electric fuel pumps in the tank together
with the segment of the calibrating oil tank lid, and
install.
10. Close the tank.
11. Connect the cables (see Fig. 68, items 2, 3, 4
and 5).
12. Connect the hoses (see Fig. 68, item 1), checking
that connection is correct (see hydraulic diagram).
13. Fit the front cover of the calibrating oil chamber.
" The EPS 708 is ready for operation.
6.16 Replacing the float switch
6.16.1 Removing the float switch

i Get a cloth ready for catching and mopping up
calibrating oil.
1. Remove the front cover of the calibrating oil
chamber.
2. Disconnect the plug of the float switch (item1).
3. Slacken all four screws and remove the float switch
from the tank. Catch and mop up any calibrating oil
residues with a cloth.
6.16.2 Installing the float switch
¶ Install the float switch in the reverse order.
