If the configuration 99999 is displayed on reading out
the memory information (see screenshot), proceed as
follows:
R Check the connecting cable to the memory module
for continuity.
R If the connecting cable is OK, replace the memory
module.
The following configurations are possible:

10. Calibrating the high-pres-
sure rail
10.1 High-pressure rail
i The pressure sensor 1681032095 and the high-
pressure pump 1687222188 are required to
calibrate the high-pressure rail.
i Before high-pressure rail calibration, replace the
filter in the high-pressure rail by a new one.

3 Drive coupling
1. Open the protective hood.
2. Secure the drive coupling 1 686 401 024 (item 3)
to the flywheel of the EPS 708. Tightening torque:
95 ±2 Nm
3. Push the high-pressure pump (item 1) onto the
clamping bracket and secure to the drive coupling
(item 3).
4. Secure the high-pressure pump to the clamping
bracket using the two clamp bolts (item 2).
5. Connect the hydraulic connections of the high-
pressure pump.
