Fault situation 2
The test pressure required during measurement cannot
be attained although the high-pressure pump is intact.
Cause:
The pressure control valve in the high-pressure rail is
not tight.

Remedy:
1. Remove the pressure control valve
(see section 6.37).
2. Check the sealing edge of the pressure control valve
and the sealing cone in the high-pressure rail for
damage (scoring, indentation,...).
3. Replace the damaged pressure control valve or
sealing cone.
! Note the tightening torque when installing the
pressure control valve.
! Always use a new sealing cone when fitting a
pressure control valve in the high-pressure rail.
4. Screw the pressure control valve back into the high-
pressure rail and tighten.
Fault situation 3
Calibrating oil emerges from the pressure control valve
during the pump test.
Cause:
The seal in the low-pressure section is not tight.
Remedy:
1. Remove the pressure control valve
(see section 6.37).
2. Check the O-ring of the sealing ring and replace if
necessary.
! Note the tightening torque when installing the pres-
sure control valve.
! Always use a new sealing cone when fitting a pressu-
re control valve in the high-pressure rail.
3. Screw the pressure control valve back into the high-
pressure rail and tighten.
