10.1.5 Bleeding the high-pressure rail and bringing it
to the correct temperature
Before the high-pressure rail is calibrated,
it must be completely bled and brought to the correct
temperature. This involves running the "Conditioning"
test step for approx. 1hour.
1. Open the "Log" menu with <F2>.
2. Select the "Select test step" menu option.
3. Select the "Conditioning" test step.
After approx. 1 hour, proceed with calibration.
During this period, check for leaks in the calibra-
ting oil chamber. Eliminate any leaks found and
continue with conditioning.
10.1.6 Recording measured values
1. Press <F2> to open the "Log" menu.
2. Select the "Restart test" menu option.
3. Press <F7> to open the "Measuring function" menu.
4. Select the "Automatic On/Off" menu option and
press <F12> to switch on the automatic function.
The automatic symbol flashes in the operating
status display.
The system reaches the set values and the wai-
ting/measurement time commences. When the
waiting/measurement time has elapsed, the sys-
tem software switches automatically to the next
test step.
5. In the event of the message "System stop! No
more test steps! Results with F12 >> ",
press <F12> to open the log.
6. Print out the log with <F3> and "Print" (for filing).
i If printout is not possible, make a note of the
measured values on a sheet of paper.
10.1.7 Saving calibration values
1. Exit the "Result printout" dialog box by pressing <Esc>.
2. In the "Injection component test main menu" start
screen, select <F7>.
A password request appears.
3. Enter the password in the input line: 1958
4. Confirm your entry with <F12>.
5. Select the Calibration >> Rail pressure sensor
menu option.
The recorded measuring values are automatically
entered in the Test bench pressure value, Test
bench pressure value upstream of filter, and
External pressure value fields.
6. Save with <F4>.
The calibration date is updated.
10.1.8 Starting the test
1. In the "Rail pressure sensor calibration" window,
select <F6>.
The calibration value test is active.
2. Save the entry with <F12>.
3. Exit the menu with <Esc>.
The system software reinitializes the devices.
4. Open the "Component selection" window with
<F12>.
5. Open the "Database" menu with <F2>.
6. Press <F12> to select the "New component" menu
option.
7. In the "Type number" box, enter the numbers
0445020105.
8. Open the "Database" menu with <F2>.
9. Press <F12> to open the "Component search" menu
item.
The "Component selection Local database"
window is displayed.
10. Select the pressure sensor check test sequence
0445020105 C1 and open with <F12>.
11. Open the "Measurement display" window with
<F12>.
12. Start the pump test with <F8>.
The drive of the EPS 708 starts up.
" The test bench is ready for operation.
