How to access settings of Buffalo BS-GS2016 Switch?

  If you're having trouble accessing the settings of your Buffalo Switch, here are some steps you can take: 1. First, ensure that your PC is properly connected to the switch. 2. Try accessing the settings using the switch's IP address, which is 192.168.1.254 by default. 3. Confirm that you are using the correct username ("admin" by default) and password ("password" by default). If you've forgotten these, you may need to initialize the switch. 4. If you have a proxy server configured in your web browser, try disabling it or adding the switch's IP address to the proxy server's exception list. 5. Finally, ensure that your PC is connected to the port that belongs to the management VLAN.

  If you've forgotten the password for your Buffalo Switch, the default password is 'password'. If you have changed it, you can press the reset button to initialize the switch. If the physical reset button is disabled and you forgot the password of Settings, contact our technical support.

  If the LED on your Buffalo Switch isn't lit, shows abnormal lighting, or is blinking, here are a few things to check: * Ensure the AC adapter or power cable is properly connected to the inlet. * Make sure the Ethernet cable is connected securely to both the switch and the device. * Verify that both the switch and the connected device are powered on. * Confirm the Ethernet cable type and length are compatible with the switch. If it blinks once per a second, a loop is detected, so check the cabling. If your switch has fans and its diag LED is blinking fast, a fan error may be occurring.
