F. Controlling the Transfer Guide
1. Transfer Guide Bias
The transfer guide bias is used to prevent adhesion of toner to the transfer guide, and is negative
in polarity (-400 VDC; toner is also charged to negative polarity).
The transfer guide bias is applied as soon as the control panel power switch is turned on, and
continued until power is removed.
