D. A/D Conversion
The A/D conversion circuit turns analog image signals from the CCD into 8-bit digital image
signals. It produces linear, digital output in response to analog input; if E mode is selected, it
performs A/D conversion based on the reference voltage from the AE processing block. Increases
or decreases in the reference voltage will in turn increase or decrease the dynamic range (difference
between maximum output level and minimum output level).
