BENDING CAPACITY
The bending capacity of the press brakes when
operating in Tandem Mode depends on both the
bend length and the position of the workpiece.
For optimum operation in Tandem Mode, the
workpiece should be centered between the two
machines so each machine shares equally in the
work load. Failure to follow this recommendation
may result in poor quality parts or damaged tools.
To determine the maximum tonnage available for
a specified bend length, refer to the Tonnage
Capacity chart supplied with your specific tandem
machines. This chart will vary depending on the
machine’s tonnage, nominal length and extension
length(s). The following chart is for the 2000 FM
tandem previously mentioned.
