ethernet cfm enable
To enable connectivity fault management (CFM) processing globally on a device, use the ethernet cfm
enable command in global configuration mode. To disable CFM processing globally on a device, use
the no form of this command.
Note This command was replaced by the ethernet cfm global command in Release 15.0(1)MR.
ethernet cfm enable
no ethernet cfm enable
Syntax Description This command has no arguments or keywords.
Command Default Ethernet CFM is disabled.

Command History
Usage Guidelines Ethernet CFM is disabled by default and must be enabled explicitly. When CFM is configured, hardware
resources (for example, port-ASIC match-registers) are allocated for CFM.
Examples The following example shows how to enable CFM processing globally on a device:
Router(config)# ethernet cfm enable
