synchronous mode
To set an Ethernet interface in synchronous mode, use the synchronous mode command in interface
configuration mode. To disable synchronous mode, use the no form of this command.

Syntax Description No arguments or keywords.
Defaults Synchronous mode is disabled by default.

Usage Guidelines This command enables ESMC and quality-level clock selection. To disable ESMC, use the no esmc
mode command. To disable quality-level clock selection, use the esmc mode ql-disabled command.
Examples The following example shows how to use the network-clock-select command:

Router(config)# interface gigabitethernet 0/2
Router(config-if)# synchronous mode
Router(config-if)# exit
