5.4.7 AIRCRAFT PERSONALITY MODULE
The optional aircraft Personality Module (APM) contains user programmable
configuration options. The APM attaches to the back of the RT-7000 PMR/RMR and
stays attached to the airframe with a lanyard that keeps it connected to the aircraft’s
wire harness for the RT-7000. The APM contains the programming information from
the ICT that will stay with aircraft even if the 7000 series product is removed.
NOTE: The APM is not required nor available for new installation.
5.4.8 118 MHZ HIGH PASS FILTER (HPF)
A 118 MHz HPF, P/N TBD, is available for RT-7000 radio systems that require
certification to TSO-C169a. This HPF has is installed into the antenna feed line
between the Cobham Wideband Transceiver (CWT) and its antenna. The HPF
assembly has TNC connectors for the coax cables into and out of the filter.
Figure 5-15 and Figure 5-16 illustrate a typical installation for the 118 MHz HPF when
installed into systems with or without the Antenna Switching Unit.

b) Passband Insertion Loss: 1.1 dB max
c) Passband Return Loss: 17 dB min
d) Rejection:
a. DC – 100 MHz: 40 dBc min.
b. 100 – 108 MHz: 20 dBc min.
e) Zin/Zout: 50 ohms nominal
