8.6.2 GENERAL OPERATIONS VERIFICATION
8.6.2.1 Operations Verification Tests
The front panel operations are to be carried out on both the RCDU front panel and on
the PMR front panel. Both displays are examined each time to verify that each
updates correctly after each step. The PMR may be a virtual PMR application running
on a test PC or an actual RT-7000 PMR.
If this test is a continuation of the previous tests,
proceed to Step 1. If not, execute section 8.3 steps a
through h and then proceed to Step 4.
(1.) The UUT will power on and begin the
initialization sequence.
(2.) After initialization, the PMR & RCDU panels will
look similar to Figure 8-11.
(3.) Both the UUT and PMR front panel display must
be on the “home screen” to continue. Either
press the “HOME” button on each panel or
perform a power cycle to return each unit to the
home screen.
(4.) Verify that both front panels display the same
information.
(5.) Select Transceiver#1 in the upper-left-hand
corner as shown in Figure 8-10.
(6.) Press the Transfer button. Figure 8-11 shows the
location of the Transfer button.
(7.) Verify that the Standby Channel swaps to the
Active Channel on both displays. Figure 8-12
shows the location of the Active and Standby Channels.
(8.) Select Transceiver#2, in the upper-mid-section
corner as shown in Figure 8-13.
(9.) Press the Transfer button.
(10.) Verify that the Standby Channel swaps to the
Active Channel on both displays.
(11.) If continuing to the next section, skip this step.
Press and hold the On/OFF, left inner knob until
the UUT turns off. Turn off the UUT power
supply.
