9.6 LIGHTING BUS CONFIGURATION (PRM AND RCDU ONLY)
9.6.1 LIGHTING BUS FEATURES
The display backlighting of the RT-7000 PMR has multiple configurations available for
the operator to utilize. The RT-7000 PMR/RMR lighting bus can be operated from
either the front panel or by a discrete input signal. The discrete signal can be
configured for 5VDC or 28VDC lighting inputs. The RT7 display also features several
discrete inputs to differentiate between Day, Night, or NVG operation. The RT-7000
PMR uses the aircraft panel lighting bus for reference only and adjusts the display to
reflect the lighting curve input, it does not draw significant power from the bus.
Selecting “Use lighting bus Yes” means the RT-7000 PMR display lighting will be
controlled by the aircraft lighting bus. A “No” selection means the RT-7000 PMR
display lighting will be controlled through the front panel’s left control knob.
Each of the Day, Night, or NVG lighting curve buttons shows the current selection and
allows the installer to open a menu of six choices for the lighting curve. These curves
are described in the section regarding lighting curves.
