Combustion Air Installation
The upflow combustion air
connection is at the right side of the
top plate. An alternate upflow
combustion air connection may be
made on the right side of the jacket.
These openings have plastic caps.
Remove the appropriate cap. A
combustion air connection fitting is
supplied in a cloth bag with the
furnace. Be sure to use the "O" ring
provided for a tight seal. Use the
large conduit nut to secure the
combustion air intake connection to
the furnace.
The downflow/horizontal air
connection is at the left side of the
top plate. Attach the PVC elbow(s)
using screws.
IMPORTANT: WHEN USING
INDOOR COMBUSTION AIR, THE
FURNACE AIR OPENING MUST BE
PROTECTED FROM ACCIDENTAL
BLOCKAGE. ON UPFLOW
UNITS, INSTALL A 90" ELBOW
POINTING DOWNWARD ON THE
SIDE OR A DOUBLE ELBOW
POINTING DOWNWARD IN THE
TOP OPENING. ON DOWNFLOW
UNITS, INSTALL A DOUBLE
ELBOW IN THE COMBUSTION AIR

INFORMA T/ON
A non-direct vent, single pipe system
requires an exhaust vent pipe only.
Combustion air is taken from the
furnace installation area or ducted to
the furnace area from the outside.

COLLAR AND SECURE WITH TWO SHEET
METAL SCREWS TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL
