5.3 Other Copy Options – Menu Button
As described in the previous sections, the copy quick buttons Lightness, Scale, Quality and Copies are
shortcuts into the options accessible through the Menu button . In this section we will describe
other options in the same Menu. These options are not accessible through quick buttons and can only be
reached through the Menu button. The option features described here are more general than those
behind the four quick buttons and they will therefore not be needed as often.
The Menu button options described in the following subsections are:
 Original Type Color and Original Type B&W
 Sharpen

5.3.1 How do I… Set Original Type Color?
The original type setting – Org. Type-Color is your central input parameter for color copying and relates to
controlling image capture with color originals. The Org. Type-Color setting tells the system to use specific
internal image enhancement processes that are optimal for the color original in question. For example,
selecting the “CAD/Map” option will tell the scanner to optimize for high detail. The option you choose will
be applied by the system when you press the Color Copy button.
The available options for Org. Type-Color are described below. Note that for each original type there is an
“Ink” version that contains special parameters for originals that were created on inkjet printers.
Org. Type Color
Photo
For reproducing photographs and posters
Photo Ink
For reproducing photographs and posters and the original to be copied has been
created (printed) with an inkjet printer.
Brochure
For documents containing both photos and text.
Brochure Ink
For documents containing both photos and text and the original to be copied has been
created (printed) with an inkjet printer.
CAD/Map
Suitable for color CAD drawings, maps and graphics with a high level of detail.

original to be copied has been created (printed) with an inkjet printer.
To set the copy Original Type for Color::
On the iJET Panel –
1. Press the button to enter the main Menu.
2. The Org. Type-Color option should be the first option to appear.
If it is not, use the arrow up/down buttons to move through the Menu options until the display
shows Org. Type-Color as shown below.
