Air shrouds
Removing the air shrouds
The system supports PCI air shroud and processor air shroud.
Prerequisites
CAUTION: Never operate your system with the air shroud removed. The system may get overheated quickly,
resulting in shutdown of the system and loss of data.
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
NOTE: The procedure to remove the air shrouds is the same for Rear Accessed and Front Accessed configurations.
Steps
1. Holding the air shroud at both the ends, disengage it from the guide pins on the chassis.
2. Lift the air shroud out of the system.
