Overview

The Dinstar MTG2000 Trunk Gateway is a new-generation intelligent VoIP gateway designed for enterprises, telecom operators, and various industries. It focuses on maintainability, manageability, and operability, offering high integration and large capacity. The MTG2000 provides carrier-grade VoIP and FoIP services, along with value-added functions such as modem and voice recognition, to build a flexible, high-efficient, and future-oriented communication network. It supports a range of signaling protocols, enabling interconnection between SIP and traditional signals like SS7 and PRI. The gateway supports multiple codec methods, signal encryption technology, and smart voice recognition technology, improving the utilization efficiency of trunking resources while ensuring voice quality. It is ideally suited for various access networks of SMEs, call centers, telecom operators, and large-scale enterprises.

Physical Interfaces:

  • E1/T1 Ports: Available in configurations of 4, 8, 12, 16, or 20 E1/T1 ports. Each DTU module provides 4 E1/T1 ports.

    • GE1: 100/1000 Base-T Adaptive Ethernet (for services, default IP: 192.168.1.111, netmask: 255.255.255.0).

Usage Features:

  • Quick Installation: Detailed steps for physical installation, including placing into a shelf, connecting grounding wire, connecting to Ethernet (GE1 for services, GE0 for management), and connecting to PSTN via a distribution frame.
  • RJ-48 Cabling: Instructions on how to make RJ-48 joints for E1/T1 cables, including wire sequencing (PIN1: orange & white, orange, green & white, blue, blue & white, green, brown & white, brown; PIN2: blue, blue & white, green & white, orange & white, orange, green, brown & white, brown). Note: RJ-48 cables are typically provided with the device.
  • IP Address Configuration: Default GE1 IP is 192.168.1.111, GE0 IP is 192.168.11.1. Users must configure their PC's IP to be in the same network segment as the GE1 port for initial access.
  • Local Maintenance (Console Port): Provides a standard RJ45 console port (Baud rate: 115200bps) for maintenance-related configurations. Users can log in via software like PuTTY.
  • Web Interface Login: Access via a web browser using the default GE0 IP address (192.168.11.1). Default username: admin, password: admin@123#. Users are advised to change the default password for security.

Maintenance Features:

  • Ping Test: Checks network connectivity by sending test packets and calculating response time.
  • Tracert Test: Determines the route from one IP address to another.
  • Signaling Call Test: Tests the successful connection of call signaling for PSTN->IP or IP->PSTN calls, providing trace messages for troubleshooting.
  • Network Capture: Captures data packets on available network ports, allowing users to specify source and destination hosts for analysis.
  • Debug Command: Supports "closing all" tracing.
