Sequence of Operation
Occupancy Control
The OccupancyStatus(MSV15) is managed based on the OccupancyCmd (MSV1) and RoomOccu-
pancy(BV24). The OccupancyCmd is usually received from the BACnet network and the RoomOccu-
pancy is based on the motion detection and the occupancy overrides. See the RoomOccu-
pancy(BV24) section for more details.

1. If a motion dectector is configured, the OccupancyStatus is set to Occupied. If motion detector is
unconfigured, the bypass mode is activate for 60 minutes (default value) when the room occu-
pancy is set to occupied via either the EC-Smart-vue, EC- Sensor or the EC-Smart-Comfort.
Motion Hold Time
After the last occupancy detection, RoomOccupancy (BV24) is maintained to occupied during 15 min-
utes (default value). After this period without detection, RoomOccupany is set to Unoccupied. When
OccupancyCmd (MSV1) is unoccupied, this delay is divided by 3.
Optimum Start
Using the information from Schedule1, the unit can be set to occupied mode via Occupancy-
Cmd(MVS1) prior to the scheduled occupancy period. The calculated time at which the system should
start will be processed using the effective occupied setpoints, the actual space temperature, the time
to next occupancy and the actual space temperature. All of these parameters can be adjusted to opti-
mize the system operation.
Setpoint Control
The actual setpoints ActHeatSP(AV37) and ActCoolSP(AV36) are calculated based on the Occupan-
cyStatus(MSV15) and SetPtOffset (AV2) in the following modes:
OccupancyStatus = Occupied:
ActCoolSP = OccCoolSP(AV40) + SetPtOffset(AV2)
ActHeatSP = OccHeatSP(AV41) + SetPtOffset(AV2)
OccupancyStatus = Standby:
ActCoolSP = StandbyCoolSP(AV39) + SetPtOffset(AV2)
ActHeatSP = StandbyHeatSP(AV42) + SetPtOffset(AV2)
Unoccupied Mode (night setback):
ActCoolSP = UnoccCoolSP(AV38)
ActHeatSP = UnoccHeatSP(AV43)
