NIBP
Priority Message Problem Solution
!! NIBP S > (alarm limit)
NIBP S < (alarm limit)
The parameter value is
above/below the
upper/lower alarm limits.
– Check the patient and treat,
if necessary.
– Change the alarm limits.
!! NIBP D > (alarm limit)
NIBP D < (alarm limit)
!! NIBP M > (alarm limit)
NIBP M < (alarm limit)
!! NIBP low-inflation limit
(1,
2)
The pressure of the
patient is greater than the
maximum allowed cuff
inflation pressure.
Select the next higher inflation
limit setting.
! NIBP mean only
(1)
The pulse amplitude is
too small or too high for
the M540 to derive
systolic and diastolic
pressure values but
sufficient to report a
mean pressure value.
– Check the patient and treat,
if necessary.
– Check the hose and cuff
– Check the size and the
placement of the cuff.
! NIBP cannot measure
(1, 2)
The pulse profile is too
poor to establish a
reliable measurement
(usually due to a
persistent motion
artefact).
– Check the patient and treat,
if necessary.
– Move the cuff to a limb with
less movement.
– Restart the measurement. If
the message does not
clear, contact your technical
personnel or Dräger
Medical Technical Support.

In the parameter box, the parameter value is replaced by ***
(2)
This message, preceded by Last measurement failed!, also appears in the parameter box.
NOTE
In the parameter box,
the following
message appears:
Last measurement
failed low inflation
NOTE
In the parameter box,
the following
message appears:
Cannot measure.
