Setting steps
1. Lock the machine in place at position 1 ( page 19).
2. Position the upper stitch length adjusting wheel to 0.
3. Loosen the screw (1) for the needle bar (2).
4. Move the height of the needle bar (2) such that the tip of the hook (3)
is in the middle of the lower third of the groove for the needle (4).
Do not twist the needle to the side in doing so. The groove (4) must
face towards the hook.
5. Tighten the screw (1) for the needle bar (2).
6. Release the locking mechanism ( page 19).
7. Check the height of the needle bar at maximum stitch length when sew-
ing forwards and reverse, adjust it again if necessary.
