21.2.3 Cleaning the filter element

Cleaning steps
1. Drain the water condensation ( page 109).
2. Unscrew the water separator (2).
3. Unscrew the filter element (1).
4. Blow out the filter element (1) using a compressed-air pistol.
5. Wash out the filter tray using benzine.
6. Tighten the filter element (1).
7. Tighten the water separator (2).
8. Tighten the drain screw (3).
WARNING
Risk of injury
Switch off the machine at the main power switch
and disconnect it from the pneumatic network
before you clean the filter element.
ATTENTION
Damage to the paintwork due to solvent-based cleaners.
Solvent-based cleaners damage the filter.
Use only solvent-free substances for washing out the filter tray.
