Performing the setting steps
1. Set the handwheel to the 0° position.
2. Loosen the screw (3).
3. Lower the presser foot (1) and feeding foot (2) together down to the
throat plate.
While doing so, make sure that the feeding foot is only lowered down to
the throat plate. Do not inadvertently lower the feeding foot through the
throat plate cut-out down to the feed-dog.
4. Tighten the screw (3).
12.2 Setting the stroke movement for the feeding foot
For correct feed, the stroke movement for the feeding foot must be aligned
to the stroke movement for the feed-dog.
Order
First check the following settings:
Feed-dog movement ( 8.2 Setting the feed-dog movement, page 37)
Even sewing foot stroke ( 12.1 Setting an even sewing foot stroke,
page 53)

(4) - Sewing foot lever
WARNING
Risk of injury
Risk of crushing injuries and stab wounds from mov-
ing and sharp parts.
Switch the sewing machine off before you check
and set the stroke movement for the feeding foot.
