12.4 Setting the sewing foot lifting height
When the pedal is pressed back halfway, the sewing feet can be raised 
during sewing, e.g. to move the material being sewn.
When the pedal is pressed completely back, the sewing feet will be raised 
after the thread is cut so that the material being sewn can be exchanged.
Proper setting
The distance between the raised sewing feet and the throat plate is preset 
to 25 mm on delivery.

Setting steps
1. Loosen the counternut (2) for the adjusting screw (1).
2. Turn the adjusting screw (1) to set the distance between the raised sew-
ing feet and the throat plate:
• To raise the sewing feet to a lesser height: Turn it clockwise
• To raise the sewing feet higher: Turn it counterclockwise
3. Tighten the counternut (2) for the adjusting screw (1).
WARNING
Risk of injury
The sewing machine must remain switched on so 
that the sewing feet can be raised.
Work very carefully when you check and set the lift-
ing height for the sewing feet.
Do not put your hands under the sewing feet when 
they are being lowered.
