Diagnostic information
The fault can be identified using the diagnostic information. The short text helps you by
providing information about the fault. In addition, the corresponding symbol for the
diagnostic behavior is displayed in front of the diagnostic information on the local display.
12.5.2 Calling up remedy information
Remedy information is provided for every diagnostic event to ensure that problems can be
rectified quickly:
On the home page
Remedy information is displayed in a separate field below the diagnostics information.
In the Diagnostics menu
Remedy information can be called up in the working area of the user interface.
The user is in the Diagnostics menu.
1. Call up the desired parameter.
2. On the right in the working area, mouse over the parameter.
A tool tip with remedy information for the diagnostic event appears.
12.6 Adapting the diagnostic information
12.6.1 Adapting the diagnostic behavior
Each item of diagnostic information is assigned a specific diagnostic behavior at the
factory. The user can change this assignment for certain diagnostic information in the
Diagnostic behavior submenu .
Diagnostic behavior in accordance with Specification PROFIBUS Profile 3.02,
Condensed Status.
"Expert" menu → System → Diagnostic handling → Diagnostic behavior
Available diagnostic behaviors
The following diagnostic behaviors can be assigned:
Diagnostic behavior Description
Warning Measurement is resumed. Measured value output via PROFIBUS and totalizers
are not affected. A diagnostics message is generated.
Logbook entry only The device continues to measure. The diagnostic message is entered in the
Event logbook (events list) submenu only and is not displayed in alternation
with the measured value display.
Off The diagnostic event is ignored, and no diagnostic message is generated or
entered.
Displaying the measured value status
If the Analog Input, Digital Input and Totalizer function blocks are configured for cyclic
data transmission, the device status is coded as per PROFIBUS Profile Specification 3.02
and transmitted along with the measured value to the PROFIBUS Master (Class 1) via the
coding byte (byte 5). The coding byte is split into three segments: Quality, Quality
Substatus and Limits.
