Operating the Control Panel
The indicator lights give you the current status of the printer. The
buttons let you control many of the printer settings.
Lights
POWER
READY
PAPER
OUT
ON LINE
OFF LINE
LOAD/EJECT LINE FEED
POWER
(green)
On when the power switch is on
and power is supplied.
READY
(green)
On when the printer is ready to
accept input data. This light
flickers during printing.
PAPER OUT
(red)
On when the printer is out of
paper or when continuous paper
is in the standby position. The
printer also beeps when it is out
of paper.
ON LINE (green)
On when the printer can receive
and print data from the
computer. When this light is
blinking, you can use the micro-
adjustment feature.
Buttons
ON LINE
This button controls the printer’s on line/off line status.
When the printer is on line, the ON LINE light is on and
the printer can receive and print data from the computer.
