WHEN YOU CLEAN THE SAFETY HARNESS, MAKE SURE
THAT THE CLEANING AGENTS WILL NOT COME INTO
CONTACT WITH MECHANICAL PARTS OF THE SAFETY
HARNESS. DO NOT USE SOAP OR WATER WHEN YOU
CLEAN THE METAL PARTS.
(a) Safety harness
1 Clean the belt chemically or carefully clean the belt with a soft brush and
cold soap solution.
2 Do not dry the safety harness in the sun or near a heat source. Visually
check the dried safety harness.
3 After you clean the the safety harness, protect it against moisture, dirt or
other unwanted material. Keep it protected untiul the visual inspection and
return of the safety harness to the operation.
(b) Mechanical parts
WARNING
USE ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL IN ACCORDANCE WITH
INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS OF THE MANUFACTURER.
PREVENT A CONTACT OF THE BELT AND ISOPROPYL
ALCOHOL.
1 Clean the mechanical parts with a lint-free cloth soaked in isopropyl alcohol.
(6) Approved repairs – safety harness
Understand the term “repair” as a replacement of the safety harness.
Never perform partial removal of parts of the safety harness. Only the manufacturer of the
safety harness or an authorized servce centre may perform such disassemblies and
replacements of parts of the safety harness.
