(1) Removal – left and right side panel
(a) Release the Velcro fasteners in the the lower part of panel and pull the panel (1; 2,
Fig. 25-2) toward the cockpit interior.
(b) Remove the panel from the airplane.
(2) Installation – left and right side panel
(a) Slide the upper part of the panel (1; 2, Fig. 25-2) under the cabin frame.
(b) Lower part of the panel attach by Velcro fasteners.
(3) Removal – left and right control rod cover
(a) Remove the upholstery of the pilot seat (1, Fig. 25-3); the upholstery is attached
with Velcro fasteners.
(b) As necessary, remove the handgrip of the parking brake valve (Section 32-42).
(c) Valid for the original version of the control rod covers:
1 Unscrew the bolts (3, Fig. 25-5) which attach the control rod cover (1; 2).
2 Pull the control rod cover (1; 2) upward; lower part of the cover is attached
with flexible clamps (4).
(d) Valid for the new version of the left control rod cover:
1 Remove the fire extinguisher (Section 26-20).
2 Unscrew the bolts (3) which attach the control rod cover (1).
3 Remove the control rod cover (1).
(4) Installation – left and right control rod cover
(a) Put the control rod cover (1; 2, Fig. 25-5) on the cockpit floor.
(b) Screw and tighten the bolts (3).
(c) As necessary, install the handgrip of the parking brake valve (Section 32-42).
(d) For the new version of the left control rod cover, install the fire extinguisher
(Section 26-20).
(e) Install the upholstery of the pilot seat.
(5) Removal – instrument panel
The removal procedure for the instrument panel is described in Section 39-10.
