(a) Put the sealing ring on the piston (5, Fig. 32-16). Insert the screw (7) into the piston
(5) and put the sealing O-ring (12) on the screw shank (7).
(b) Insert the spring (8) into the body of the brake pump (1).
(c) Assemble the pistons (2) and (5) and insert them into the brake pump body (1).
The screw (7) is adhesively bonded into the piston (2) by adhesive Loctite243.
(d) Put the sealing ring (14) on the packing (6).
(e) Slide on the brake cylinder packing (6) and the sealing ring (13) on the piston (2).
(f) Insert the brake cylinder packing (6) into the brake pump body (1).
(g) Put the cylinder closure (3) on the piston (2), insert it into the cylinder body (1) and
secure it by the locking ring (11).
(h) Put the spring (9) on the piston (2), screw on the locking nut (4) and the fork (10).
(4) Disassembling – brake pump S5 20-01 01
(a) Dismantle the fork (7, Fig. 32-17).
(b) Unscrew the securing nut (4) and remove the spring (5).
(c) Unscrew the cap (2).
(d) Slide out the piston (3) with the U-collar (6).
(e) As needed, remove the inlet screw fitting from the body (1).
(f) Remove the sealing rings (8) and (9).

THE LENGTH OF THE PISTONS (3, FIG. 32–16)
DESIGNATED AS “L“ DIFFERS IN THE THREADED SECTION
FOR THE LEFT AND FOR THE RIGHT SIDE OF FOOT
CONTROL. THE TOTAL LENGTH OF THE PISTON (3) FOR
THE LEFT SIDE IS 90 mm (a, FIG. 32–16). THE TOTAL
LENGTH OF THE PISTON (3) FOR THE RIGHT SIDE IS 94
mm (b, FIG. 32–16).
NOTE
For the installation of the brake pump, use new rubber sealing
rings and the U-collar. Lubricate all the sealing rings and the U-
collar before their installation, this facilitates their installation.
(a) Put the U-collar (6) on the piston (3, Fig. 32-17).
(b) Insert the sealing ring (8) into the inner recess in the body of the cap (2).
(c) Insert the piston (3) with the U-collar (6) into the brake pump body (1).
(d) Put the sealing ring (9) on the outer recess on the cap (2). Put the cap (2) on the
piston (3) and screw it into the brake pump body (1).
(e) Slide the spring (5) on the piston (3) and install the securing nut (4).
(f) Install the fork (7).
