4-3. Tap TEST or press . When the test is completed and if it
passed, the tester automatically saves the results for End 1 in
ID 1A.
4-4. Connect the launch cord to the tester and to End 1 of fiber
1B. Connect the tail cord to the other end of fiber 1B.
4-5. Tap TEST or press . When the test is completed and if it
passed, the tester automatically saves the results for End 1 in
ID 1B.
Step 5: Do OTDR Tests on End 2 of the Link
5-1 On the home screen, tap the Next ID panel.
5-2. On the CHANGE ID screen, tap the End 1/End 2 control to
make End 2 show.
5-3. In the ID set under IDs Untested, the ID 1A is highlighted
because it is the first ID in the set that does not contain
OTDR results for End 2.
5-4. Tap DONE.
5-5. Clean and inspect all fiber connectors.
5-6. Connect the launch cord to the tester and to End 2 of fiber
1A. Connect the tail cord to the other end of fiber 1A.
5-7. Tap TEST or press . When the test is completed and if it
passed, the tester automatically saves the results for End 2
with the End 1 results in ID 1A.
5-8. Connect the launch cord to the tester and to End 2 of fiber
1B. Connect the tail cord to the other end of fiber 1B.
5-9. Tap TEST or press . When the test is completed and if it
passed, the tester automatically saves the results for End 2
with the End 1 results in ID 1B.
