6 Changing the Machine Settings
[IPv6 - Manual Gateway]
Configure the gateway address when [IPv6 - Manual Address] has been configured.
[IPv6 - DNS Server Setup]
Configure a DNS server.
[Automatically Configured IPv6 Address]
Displays the automatically configured IP address.
Note
Up to two addresses can be assigned by stateless automatic configuration when the IP address has been configured
manually.
[IPv6 - IP Filter]
Configure whether to limit connections to this machine to IPv6 addresses.
Note
[IPv6 - IP Filter] applies to all functions using TCP/IP. For example, this includes printing and CentreWare Internet
Services.
IPv6 addresses to receive connections can be registered by [IP Filter] in CentreWare Internet Services. For the
configuration method, refer to the CentreWare Internet Services Help.
[Ping Connection Test]
Check whether this machine and your computer can communicate properly with the configured conditions.
[Print Network Protocol Report]
Output a report of the protocol settings of the primary interface.
[Device's Email Address / Host Name]
[Email Address]
Configure the email address of this machine. Enter an address within 128 characters.
[Device Name]
Enter a machine name within 32 characters.
[Host Name]
Enter a host name within 32 half-width characters.
Note
When communicating by SMB, use a hostname within 15 half-width characters from the start. To identify this machine
correctly, configure the hostname within 15 half-width characters.
[Domain Name]
Enter a domain name within 64 characters.
[Proxy Server List]
Set when using external access.
Note
Change settings only when services that require proxy settings will be used.
