3 Use the DMM set for the ohms function or an ohmmeter to measure the resistance between
frame ground and each of the battery return points (A and B) on the shelf. The reading
should be very close to 0 ohms.
4 Is the reading close to 0 ohms?
If YES:
Continue with Step 5 [p. 3-107].
If NO:
Do not continue with Step 5 [p. 3-107] until the voltage source has been eliminated. For
technical assistance, call 1-800-USE-FTAC (800-873-3822).
5 Swap the DMM or ohmmeter leads between frame ground and battery return, and verify the
same reading as described in Step 3 [p. 3-107].
This procedure is complete.
