28.4 Process Counter
Preconditions:
PLC interface connected to GAV.
Process counter active (see Section 13 "Process Counter").
No profile list active (see Section 11 "Process Monitoring").
Inputs:
The counter is set to the setpoint (number of blind rivets to be processed) when the leading
edge at input 5 "Start Counter" is 1 (24 V).
Outputs:
Output 5 "Counter/Part Finished" becomes 1 (24 V) when the set number of blind rivets has
been processed (counter reading 0).
After reaching the set number of riveting operations, the GAV device can be stopped with a
jumper from output 5 "Counter/Part Finished" to input 4 "Block Start Cycle" (see Section "Other
Functions").
Relay:
Relay R2 is switched when output 5 "Counter/Part Finished" is 1 (24 V).
Example (see screen):
Output 5 "Counter/Part Finished" signals that the set number of blind rivets has been pro-
cessed. The process counter must now be reset with input 5 "Start Counter" in the next step.
