40. Tune Filters — Tunes and recalibrates the analog low-pass lters.
You shouldn’t have to do this in most circumstances since the lters are
pre-calibrated and generally don’t require re-calibration or re-tuning.
41. Firmware Update — Allows you to update the 3rd Wave’s OS if
necessary by importing a new OS from the 3rd Wave’s firmware direc-
tory (folder). To install an OS update, download the update from the
Groove Synthesis website, then connect the 3rd Wave to your computer.
Next, click on the 3rd Wave icon on your desktop and locate the firm-
ware folder. You can then copy the new OS rmware into the firmware
folder. After you have copied a program le, press the global button.
Then use soft knob 1 to scroll to the
firmware update command and use
soft knob 2 (go) to execute the command and update the OS. Follow the
on-screen instructions, and when nished restart the synthesizer.
42. Analog Filter Bypass — Bypasses the analog lters when set to
“on” (that is, bypass is on). In this mode, the digital State-Variable lter
is still active.
43. Export Device Image — This command is used to archive the
current state of the 3rd Wave and all of its data. You shouldn’t need to
use it under normal circumstances.
44. Import Device Image — This command is used to restore the 3rd
Wave to a previously archived state, if necessary. You shouldn’t need to
use it under normal circumstances.
45. Read WaveMaker WAV le — This command is used to import a 3rd
Wave compatible .wav le (96 kHz, 16-bit or 24-bit, mono .wav format)
into the Wave Maker tool. See “Creating Custom Wavetables” on page
82 for detailed instructions on how to use this.
46. Functions Test — This command is used for internal testing and
development. You shouldn’t need to use it under normal circumstances.
