Troubleshooting the 3rd Wave
Calibrating the 3rd Wave
If you experience unexpected behavior with the lters, you can calibrate
them in the Global menu.
Calibrating the Filters
To calibrate the lters:
1. Press the global button.
2. Use soft knob 1 to scroll to the tune filters command.
3. Turn soft knob 2 to select go.
4. When the tune filters screen appears, press soft button 4 (ok). The 3rd
Wave performs its auto-calibration procedure. Don’t turn off the power
during this procedure.
5. When nished, turn any knob to return to the current program and play
the 3rd Wave again.
Updating the 3rd Wave OS
Occasionally Groove Synthesis provides updates to the 3rd Wave OS
with feature enhancements and bug xes. To update your 3rd Wave to
the latest OS, connect the 3rd Wave to a computer via USB, and copy
the new OS le to the firmware directory (folder) on the 3rd Wave as
explained below.
Checking Your Operating System Version
If you’ve just purchased your 3rd Wave new, the latest operating system
may already be installed. Be sure to check the Support page of the
Groove Synthesis website occasionally check for the latest version. It
may include new features and enhancements that you would like to use.
To update your 3rd Wave OS, you’ll need a computer and a USB cable.
