Oscillators
The 3rd Wave has three digital oscillators per voice. The oscillators
generate the raw, unprocessed sound of the synth. All other controls on
the synth modify or process the sound the oscillators make.

The Oscillators
The 3rd Wave’s oscillators generate four types of waveforms:
• Classic PPG-legacy waves (P00-P33)
• 3rd Wave custom waves (U00-U47)
• Analog-modeled waves (A00-A06)
• Sample playback (S00-S64)
PPG Legacy Waves (“P” Waves)
There are 36 of these 64-waveshape wavetables. They include the origi-
nal set of 8-bit wavetables from the PPG 2.2 and 2.3 as well as two sets of
Prophet VS wavetables (wavetables 34 and 35). Use them to create classic
wavetable sounds like those heard on recordings from the 1980s and beyond.
