Wave Envelope
The Wave Envelope is a special-purpose 6-stage envelope generator
dedicated to wave sequencing. The purpose of this envelope is to step
though the waveforms in a wavetable. The envelope lets you choose a
time and “position” (range of travel range within the wavetable) for each
of its 6 stages.
By using the Wave Envelope to cycle through the waveforms in a wave-
table you can create continuously shifting timbres that evolve and move.
Because you can do this for each of the 3 oscillators at once, you have
an amazingly rich palette of sounds at your ngertips. Add to this the
3rd Wave’s ability to layer up to 4 different sounds at once and you can
imagine the complexity of sounds you can create. This is the very heart
and soul of the 3rd Wave.
To smoothly transition between waveshapes during wave cycling, turn on
the Wave Flow button.
