90 Importing Wavetables into the “P” Set
Groove Synthesis
5. Press soft button 4 (ok). The 3rd Wave imports the .wav le.
6. The Wave Maker screen appears in the display with the imported .wav
audio. If the .wav le is the correct 8192 samples in length, the display
will say “PPG wavetable detected.”
7. Press soft button 4 (make table). The Wave maker creates a wavetable
from the PPG format .wav le.
8. To audition the new wavetable before saving it, go the Oscillator
section and use the wavetable knob to set Oscillator 1 to “wm as its
wavetable. This wavetable is the very last wavetable available (after
the “A” set).
9. Hold down a note on the keyboard and move the Mod Wheel on your
MIDI controller to sweep through the waves in the wavetable.
10. If you select wm on one or more of the oscillators you will now hear the
wavetable, and can view it by pressing the wave button.
11. Hold down a note on the keyboard and change the waveform offset
on your oscillator or move the Mod Wheel on your MIDI controller to
sweep through the waves in the wavetable if it is set to modulate the
wave position.
12. If you like what you hear, press the Make Waves button again to
display the Wave Maker screen.
13. Press soft button 3 to save the wavetable. The save location will be the
rst unused “P” location. This should be P36 if this is the rst time you
have tried this.
14. In the screen that appears, use soft knob 3 and 4 to name the wavetable.
15. Use soft knob 2 to select a numbered location in the “P” set for the new
wavetable (if you don’t want to put it in the rst un-used spot).
16. Press soft button 4 (ok) to save the wavetable. The wavetable will now
appear at the location in the “P” set that you have selected along with
the name you have given it. You can now use the Wave Envelope and
other controls to sweep through the wavetable as you like.
