Use

Ensure that your hands are placed on the workpiece in a closed position

ith the thumbs against the closed hands.
Requirements of the workpiece
To obtain exact joints, use only evenly grown wood without any
knots.

Push the workpiece under the protective guard using the pushing stick and
push bloc
