12.2 Disposal

Disposal of machine components
Used e
lectrical materials, electronic components, lubricants and
other auxiliary substances must be treated as special waste and
may only be disposed of by specialised, licensed firms.
The machine consists of many different materials for which different disposal
c
onditions may apply depending on national legislation.
1.
Separate all machine components into material groups.
2.
When disposing, pay attention to international regulations, standards and
en
vironmental protection norms.

Disposing of batteries
Ba
tteries are subject to special waste treatment regulations and
must be disposed of in accordance with locally enforced regula-
tions.
The improper handling of batteries, can due to their potentially
dangerous substances, have a negative environmental effect and
consequences for human health.
For this reason, follow the advice relating to batteries exactly:
do not open or short circuit
do not throw them into fire or expose them to high tempera-
tur
es
protect from getting wet and do not place them in water
do not store them together with electroconductive items (e.g.
c
hains, screws, metal waste etc.)
