IP Routing
Standard IP routing is accomplished through the use of the IP routing table. See
Figure 8-3 .

This scheme is true of IP routing using static routing tables and of IP routing
using dynamic routing tables. Static routing requires operator assistance to
build and maintain the routing tables. Dynamic routing requires the
implementation of a routing protocol (that is, RIP) to query the network and to
update the routing tables. Both dynamic routing and static routing can be used.
Constellation supports both RIP 1 and RIP 2 dynamic routing tables.
