Recording the Power Levels.
p. Record the power levels along with the date and the name of the person
making the measurement in the “Routine Maintenance Log Form”
(Appendix F).
Off-line Transmitter.
q. When you have finished taking the measurement, you can either leave
the Transmitter on line or return it to the off-line status.
r. The standby Transmitter is now the primary Transmitter.
Switching the traffic back to the previous
Transmitter will cause a hit.
If switching of Transmitter Assemblies is desired,
it should be done during low-traffic hours.
19. Perform loopback tests (through the Keypad) (Chapter 5).
20. Perform BER tests from the Keypad.

Aligning the Antenna
21. Align the antenna.
The Keypad reading is not as accurate as using the
RSL/GND test points.
a. Connect a multimeter at the RSL/GND test point of the Receiver
Assembly.
b. Adjust the orientation of each antenna to maximize the voltage
reading.
