Traffic congestion

Back
Traffic congestion on roads is
indicated by triangles along that
section of road.
The number of triangles shown
depends on the map scale
displayed, not on the severity of
congestion.
The triangles point in the direction of
the traffic congestion.
Traffic avoidance
Automatic (default setting)
The route is continuously
calculated. If a better route is
available than the current one, the
alternative route is activated
immediately.
Manual
In manual mode an alternative route
is suggested. The option is given to
select an alternative route.
Switching traffic avoidance on/off
1. Press NAV.
2. Touch t he Nav config tab.
3. Touch Tr affic management
settings.
4. Touch either Auto or Manual to
switch traffic avoidance on.
Alternatively, touch Off to switch
traffic avoidance off.
The option selected is indicated
by
V.
5. Touch Back to save the settings
and return to the previous
screen.
Note: When traffic avoidance is off,
the RDS-TMC settings are disabled.
Radio Data System – Traffic
Message Channel (RDS-TMC)
When traffic avoidance is on,
information about traffic on the
selected route is displayed.
The RDS-TMC stations provide
information relating to:
.
Roadworks
.
Dangerous vehicles
.
Poor visibility etc.
Select/deselect the required options
via the TMC filter under the tab
Traffic – TMC messages.
RDS-TMC modes
.
Automatic: The navigation
system automatically selects the
best TMC station available.
