5. Insert the hard disk drive carrier into the optical disk drive bay cage until it reaches the release
latch.
Pull the latch
and slide the slot load assembly into the chassis, past the latch.
Release the latch and then slide the assembly further into the chassis until it snaps into place

as shown in the following figure.

6. Connect the power and data

cables to the drive as shown in the following figure.

7. Ensure that the other end of the data cable is connected to the proper HDD data connector on the
system board.
8. Reinstall all removed components and reconnect all cables that have been disconnected.
