11. Remove the security cover from the boot device riser cage.
Retain the screw and cover for future use.
12. Remove the boot device carrier:
a. Press and hold the carrier latch (callout 1).
b. Pivot the latch to open (callout 2).
c. Slide the carrier out from the boot device cage (callout 3).
13. If installed, remove the SSDs from the boot device carrier:
a. Remove the SSD mounting screw (callout 1).
b. Tilt the SSD with the M.2 slot at a 45° angle (callout 2).
c. Carefully remove the SSD from the M.2 slot (callout 3).
