Activating the BSC rack
Perform the following procedure to apply power to the BSC rack equip-
ment.
1. Open the front doors on the BSC rack.
2. Set the following PDU power switches to ON:
Note
Your BSC rack may not have the circuit B -
48 Vdc supply line installed or may not be
using all three BSC chassis. In that case,
only activate the PDU switches for circuits
that are actually functioning.
CIRCUIT A CHASSIS 1 switch
CIRCUIT A CHASSIS 2 switch
CIRCUIT A CHASSIS 3 switch
CIRCUIT B CHASSIS 1 switch
CIRCUIT B CHASSIS 2 switch
CIRCUIT B CHASSIS 3 switch
Verify that all fans are operating.
3. Close the rack front doors.
BSC rack power-up is complete.

Installing BSC modules
This section describes installing the following BSC modules into the
BSC chassis assemblies contained in the BSC rack (see figure 2-25):
•T1 modules
•E1 modules
Control processor modules (CPM)
Switching transcoder module (STM)
