WARNING
To completely remove power from a BSC chassis,
both circuit A and circuit B switches must be set
to OFF.
3. Verify that the OK lamps on all circuit modules in the chassis
assembly are extinguished.
4. Verify that the fans in the fan tray directly below the chassis
assembly stop turning.
The BSC chassis is now deactivated. If you need to restart it, refer to
section 3.4, “Restarting the BSC” to do so.
3.4
Restarting the BSC rack
Perform the following procedure to apply power to the BSC rack equip-
ment.
1. Open the front doors on the BSC rack.
Note
Your BSC rack may not have the circuit B -48 Vdc
supply line installed or may not be using all three
BSC chassis. In that case, only activate the PDU
switches for circuits that are actually functioning.
2. Set the following PDU power switches to ON:
CIRCUIT A CHASSIS 1 switch
CIRCUIT A CHASSIS 2 switch
CIRCUIT A CHASSIS 3 switch
CIRCUIT B CHASSIS 1 switch
CIRCUIT B CHASSIS 2 switch
CIRCUIT B CHASSIS 3 switch
Verify that the OK lamps on all modules are illuminated and
that all fans are operating.
3. Close the rack front doors.
BSC rack power-up is complete.
